Village of Sungkahong, near Shanghai College.
Here the Shanghai College Civic Club - composed of men students - fostered a grade school known as "The Village School". Members of this club with my assistance, made a survey of the village which was published in both Chinese and English. I have copies of both publications. Gate House and Gate Village were enclosed by wooden wall and had a night watchman. |
